BORN INTO GOD'S FAMILY

Sunday, November 3, 2019, in the Divine Service God caused D'Anthony King Blair to be born again into His family through Holy Baptism. We thank God for His grace and mercy in the forgiveness of sins and new life given to this precious child.

On Sunday, July 29, 2018, in the Divine Service 
NANDRANI (INDRA) ACKLOO
was given new birth in Holy Baptism. We rejoice and give thanks to God for His grace and mercy. We pray God’s blessings upon Indra as she strives to follow the Saviour through whose life, death and burial she receives forgiveness of sins and life eternal.

On Sunday, June 24 2018, in the Divine Service 
DAVID & MAISIE ISSENBERG 
were born again into God's family through Holy Baptism. We give thanks to God for His grace upon David and Maisie, the washing away of all their sins, and the gift of eternal life. We pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as they live out the new life they were given in service to their Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Acts 2:38: And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

RECEIVED INTO MEMBERSHIP

May 27, 2018 in the Divine Service, MARIA-LUISE DAHNZ, was received into membership by Profession of Faith. We give thanks to God for Maria-Luise and pray His blessings upon her as she lives out her faith in faithful service among God's people. Welcome to St. Matthew!

FAREWELL & HAPPY RETIREMENT

With heavy hearts, we say farewell to LARRY ROOTES, our Music Director for the past five years. We thank you, Larry, for the past five years of great music in the worship of our God. We pray God’s blessings and great reward to you. You will be missed! “A great understatement,” the Choir will say. And we all agree. Take care!

On Sunday, April 8, 2018, in the Divine Service RYAN WILLIAMS was born again into Gods family through Holy Baptism. We give thanks to God for His grace upon Ryan, the washing away of all his sins, and the gift of eternal life. We pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as Ryan lives out the new life he was given in service to his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

CALLED HOME TO GLORY

Our brother, JOE WOLBA, departed early Sunday morning, Dec. 11, 2022, to his heavenly home. In the midst of sadness we give thanks for his eternal salvation.

Thursday, November 03, our sister, MARGARET PERSAUD, was taken away to Glory Land. 


We give thanks for her eternal salvation.

Wednesday, September 7, 2022, our brother, TONY BONNICI, was taken home to glory where he will live eternally with the LORD. 


We pray for his grieving family. We give thanks to the Saviour for Tony's eternal salvation. 

Thursday, June 9, 2022 our brother, DIETER APITZ, was taken from this world into the glorious presence of his Lord and Saviour.


We praise God for his eternal salvation.

Saturday, July 2, 2022 our sister, DOROTHY McCUTCHEON, was taken to Glory in the presence of her Saviour.


We praise God for her eternal salvation.

On Friday, March 25, 2022, 

our brother, JOHN DUGA

was taken into the arms of His Saviour.

In the afternoon of Sunday, September 5, 2021, the Lord carried unto glory our brother, 

Günter Paul Wiederhold

Visitation (9:30 a.m.) 

and Funeral Service (10:30 a.m.) 

were held at St. Matthew.

On the evening of Wednesday, May 12, 2021, our brother, DENNIS WILLIAMS, was called home to glory. We praise the Lord for his eternal salvation. 


We pray for Beth and her grieving family. Funeral service today, Friday July 9, 2021 @ 1:00p.m. at St. Matthew

On Saturday morning, January 30, 2021, our God and Saviour saw fit to call home to Gloryland our sister, Joan Apitz. Even though it was sad to see her go, we give thanks for her eternal salvation. 


We pray God's comfort upon Dieter, his daughters and their families.

Early this morning, Wednesday July 15, 2020, our LORD took our sister, Lily Kalicharran, out of this world. 


We give thanks for her eternal salvation. 

Early morning, Thursday May 21, 2020, our sister, Pauline Singh, was taken from us. We gave thanks to the Lord for receiving His daughter into His presence.


Funeral took place at Pine Hill Funeral Centre on May 25 at 11:00 am. The funeral service was Livestreamed.

Early morning, Sunday September 8, 2019 at 12:40 a.m. the Lord saw fit to call home to glory our brother, HILTON BEHARRY

We give thanks to God for our brother's eternal salvation. We remember in prayer his grieving family.

Monday, April 8, 2019 at 4:30 a.m. our brother, PAUL SINGH, left this earth for Glory Land.

We give thanks to the God for the completion of his salvation.

Our sincerest sympathy to his grieving wife, Pauline, and the rest of his family.

On Wednesday, 5th September 2018, the Lord released Irene Louie's mom, 

LAI KING CHENG from her pain and suffering by calling her away to her home in heaven. We pray God's comfort and strength to Irene and all her grieving family.

On Friday, July 20, 2018, the Lord took her daughter, IRENA MIKOLA, 

to her home in glory. 

We praise God for Irena’s eternal salvation and the hope of the resurrection of her body from the grave on the Last Day. 

We pray for her grieving family and friends.

One day short of Mother's Day, another mother was taken home to be with her Saviour. Some time after 1:00 a.m. the soul of our sister, URSULA LUNT departed for glory.

We sympathize with Allan, Peter and their family. But thanks be to God that we can rejoice in the salvation obtained. 

The funeral service for ERNA THURSTON took place on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Matthew.

 

We give thanks to God for the salvation of His precious child.
